I'm Mel B* a celebrant based in London, offering weddings, vow renewals and naming ceremonies.

Trained by the UK Society of Celebrants, I currently work in the entertainment industry but have a real passion for writing and public speaking hence why I decided, in my spare time, to train as a celebrant.I have my own podcast Mel’s Monday Musing’s available on Spotify. What is a celebrant?
A celebrant is an independent individual, trained to conduct custom-made ceremonies which celebrate life’s milestones in a way that is truly personal to you.
Currently celebrant-led ceremonies are not legally binding in the UK but there is hope this will change in the future.

What services do I provide?
Weddings
First and foremost a marriage and a wedding are two very different things. A marriage is a legal union, and a wedding is a ceremonial celebration.
A wedding is whatever you want to make it. The day is entirely yours, the words are your own. I want you to feel free to have the ceremony that you long for and together we can make this happen.
Celebration and bringing people together are such beautiful parts of living. People can celebrate their love with words or music, the readings can all be created to make a personal and unique ceremony.
Naming Ceremonies
A moment where you welcome an individual into their new life, surrounded by their family and friends.
This might be right at the start of their life but could also be when a child is adopted into a family, when someone officially changes their name or for someone who now identifies as a different gender.
These ceremonies are centered around the individual.
Vow Renewals
Would you like a chance to refresh or renew your vows? Or celebrate your love for each other again? Were people missing when you had your first ceremony?
Whatever the situation, let’s have a chat and see what we can create. Love knows no boundaries, you can recreate the ceremony you had before or try something different, the choice is yours!
Funerals
I am also trained to provide funeral ceremonies, however due to work commitments I am not taking any funeral bookings at the moment.

Baby Naming Ceremony
Mel conducted our daughter’s naming ceremony; her very first. Well, you would never have known. Prior to the ceremony we had two zoom calls with Mel where we discussed the format of the ceremony and then had a little run through. She was super accommodating and flexible to our baby’s needs and schedule on the day and delivered a beautiful, well-written service. Our guests all commented on how good they thought it was and it was very personal and tailored to us. Couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant than Mel.
